I‘m the guy you let sleep on your hotel room floor in Bayonne 3 months ago 🙂 First of all, I am very sorry to write this late. Thank you so much again for helping me out at a desperate moment. I’ve told my camino story so many times and I never forget to mention London gentleman, who helped stranger in need 🙂 I decided to give back and started to host people on couchsurfing.
I had an amazing 26 days of camino, I met many interesting people and made good friends. I don’t think I’ve ever met so many diverse people with unbelievable stories at one place. I tried to follow your advices and walked it “my way” even though it meant splitting with people I liked. As a matter of fact, I met a nice guy my age the first day and he travelled in a group of 4 for almost the whole camino and I think it must have been very boring for him. I was lucky enough to have just minor health issues and few blisters. It was epic adventure and it believe it started my passion for travelling. Martin
A year ago today you shared these words with me at the albergue in Lorca. I was struggling to believe in my Self, that I could do the Camino and was Good Enough. I was feeling down because, a week in, I was so tired, I could hardly imagine being able to keep going, and going, and going….. The conversation you had with me, about it being My Camino, and not a race or a set pace; about the 3 stages of the Camino (which I shared with several other people in the following days and weeks) helped me so much. Thank you. You were one of my Camino Angels who appeared when I needed support. My husband and I reached Santiago on June 16th and it has been so life affirming for us, individually and as a couple. My experience of a long weekend walking a part of the Camino under Adam’s guidance was the perfect introduction to the world of the Camino. It was great to have someone who could answer all my questions and give context and meaning to the other pilgrims. Before going I didn’t really “get” the appeal of walking across Spain. Now I really understand how it can’t NOT be a journey of profound transformation to walk the whole route – it is now on my “bucket list”. I recommend a weekend with Adam to anyone who has had their imagination sparked by the Camino but isn’t sure if they want to do the whole thing. It’s the perfect “taster”. – Catherine Watkin, Selling From The Heart, www.catherinewatkin.com
“I had been thinking of walking the Camino for several months and had read blogs and forum posts on the web, but hadn’t got around to doing anything about it, until
I received an invitation from Adam to join his Discover the Camino taster week in September 2014.
The time was right and I was ready, it was the perfect opportunity for me to sample a week on the Camino with some expert help on hand.
Adam’s coaching sessions and workbook certainly enabled me to gain the maximum from the Camino experience, allowing my mind effortlessly to process my goals and intentions within the beautiful space and quiet of the trail.
Walking the Camino really is a transformational experience. I think about it every day and the people I met walking it. I learnt to go at my own pace and not compare myself with others. I came back feeling fitter, stronger – both physically and emotionally – more confident, at peace, in tune with my surroundings and with a strong respect for the simple life. Thank you Adam! – Sue Reynard
Además, pude ayudar a mucha gente. Una vez más, gracias!! – Victoria Soler
“I have recently returned from walking the first 100 miles of the Camino de Santiago with Adam of Discover the Camino. I had so many insights during that week that I’m now about to return to Spain to complete the remaining 400 miles by myself.
I would never have dreamed that this could be possible for me, but Adam prepared and coached me so thoroughly before we set off that I was able to experience the Camino in its fullest sense: as a physically challenging yet life enhancing path to self-discovery.” – Elaine Hopkins

“Adam brings a breadth of experience and insight to all our coaching sessions, and has been of great help in getting my fledgling business off the ground and tackling some of the issues around my work/life balance. He is a warm and generous character, and I can heartily recommend Discover The Camino coaching to everyone – whatever their challenges.” Brendon Wilkins, Projects Director – DigVentures Ltd, www.digventures.com
“I can quite simply say that without the support and encouragement from Adam I don’t think I would have had the confidence to make the leap and start my own business. After 20 years of being employed in the market research industry I was ready for my next challenge. I wanted to have more control over my future career and greater flexibility over the way I worked. Adam listened carefully to my hopes and priorities for the future. In conversations with Adam it became clear that managing my own survey business would be the best way to proceed. The problem was that I had only been employed in the past and the prospect of starting my own business was a daunting step. Adam was able to listen to all my concerns and when I finally made the decision to leap he recommended a range of reading materials which gave me a tool kit to deal with all the new challenges ahead. Not least, I was able to take control of my fears and focus on the ‘here and now’. I am now one year into my new survey consultancy and I am very pleased with the progress I have made. In fact, I haven’t looked back. To attract new clients from a range of different sectors and provide them with survey services which have helped them to develop their businesses is a very rewarding experience. I am now confident about the future and full of energy to grow the business.” Chris Clarke, Owner – Questionnaire Factory, www.questionnairefactory.com
